The CatholicsRead Book Club meets monthly online on the 3rd Thursday from 4-5 or 7-8 PM Eastern Time. See the schedule below.
Every month, a guest facilitator chooses the book for the month from the list of titles featured at CatholicsRead.org.
Book Club selections reflect the expertise and interests of the guest facilitator, e.g., Scripture-based, focused on a particular area of ministry. Books will be largely non-fiction and correspond to the categories of CatholicsRead—Being Catholic (doctrinal, sacramental, liturgical), Children and Family Books, Professional Ministry Resources, Spanish, and Spiritual Reading. Visit www.CatholicsRead.org for a complete list of titles.
Every month, a guest facilitator will lead the discussion on the selected book with the ACP executive director serving as host for the conversation. The guest facilitators join us as experts in their field of interest and ministry and have a great love for Catholics books.
Before each meeting, we will share a few potential discussion questions to get you started thinking as you read the book.
When we gather, the online meeting will be led by the guest facilitator and will be an open discussion giving all participants the opportunity to share their thoughts and questions.
Conversation may continue via social media after the scheduled time on Twitter and Facebook.
Book club participants may purchase the book (usually around $20) using the link at CatholicsRead directly from the publisher or from their favorite online or brick-and-mortar seller.
